Grenada: Funeral service held for Ariel Bolah
Laid to rest in Grand Anse

The funeral service for murdered schoolgirl Ariel Bolah took place yesterday afternoon in Grand Anse, Grenada.
Scores turned out to pay their respects to the nine-year-old, whose body was discovered in woodland near here home on 11 November.
The Church of the Blessed Sacrament was filled to capacity as people said their goodbyes.
Ariel’s classmates sang, and Bible verses were recited, and relatives broke down while describing how much they miss the “bubbly” child.
The minister told mourners that Ariel’s death was “an innocent life cut short before our own eyes.”
Following the service, Ariel’s body was buried at the Grand Anse cemetery.
Suspect in justice system
Ariel was last seen alive on 10 September as she made her way home from school. She would have celebrated in 10th birthday next month.
A 17-year-old has been charged with her murder, and he was jeered by an angry crowd when he made his first court appearance last week.
“Parents on the young fellow’s side they would have like to have been here but because of threats that would have been made to their lives and so on they are unable to make it,” said , MP for .
