Commonwealth of Dominica ‘Re-Dedicated’ to God after 15 years
Commonwealth of Dominica officially re-dedicated to the Lord at a re-dedication service held at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium at Roseau on Sunday. Under the theme of ‘A call to repentance: to love and serve God’.

Commonwealth of Dominica officially re-dedicated to the Lord at a re-dedication service held at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium at Roseau on Sunday. Under the theme of ‘A call to repentance: to love and serve God’.
The ceremony which was officially organised by the Ministry of Ecclesiastical Affairs, Family and Gender Affairs was held under the auspices presence of President of Dominica, Charles A. Savarin and Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit.
Along with government officials, the Speaker of the House Assembly, Opposition Leader Linnox Linton among other members of Parliament were present on this occasion. The bestowing ceremony was carried by Pastor Jodi Andrew of SALT Ministries, who encouraged all to return to God, to show love and put away revelling.
“I want you to know that the bible declares that God is love and if God is love, and we are a God-fearing nation, one of the things that we should be doing is showing love to the God,” she said.
There was an act of repentance and the re-dedication or symbol handing over of the country, all performed by President of Dominica, Charles A. Savarin.
“As President od this blessed land and on behalf of all of the people of Dominica, at home or abroad, I re-dedicate the Commonwealth of Dominica to our creator, declaring and believing that this nation is fully and will be forever dedicated to the Lord. Continue to bless, preserve and protect this nation and its people, now and forever.” President expressed.
Meanwhile, a number of representatives were present on the stage and hundreds of people joined into re-dedicate Dominica to the Lord. The public was seen worshipping God at the auspicious event and praying for their country as Dominica is going through the Hurricane season.
This is also to be mentioned that the re-dedication ceremony was held first after more than fifteen years as previously, this kind of event or prayer was performed in April of 2004.
