While featuring a part of his collection, the museum reflected upon his artistic journey to convert his passion into a highly skilled and recognisable profession. For more than 20 years, this artist has been creating exceptionally detailed works of art in Oil, Watercolor and Conté. In one of the conversations, Sheldon Saint unfolded various aspects of his collections and the ideas and thoughts he demonstrated through his creativity with the Museum. He noted, "My paintings offer a view of past and present Bahamian life. The predominance of my work is often engaged in some intimate, private setting. The subjects seem to have arrested time for their own purpose. Seeing them and knowing that they are not part of an affluent class of people is compelling." "You may want to rescue them or even envy them because they have the time to luxuriate in the world they inhabit, a world which belonged to me at times," he continued. Further, he shared that he doesn't choose bold colours in his pieces, and they are generally about simple everyday life, which he finds personally intriguing. He also highlighted that his paintings remind people of the delicacy of the natural environment and how humankind co-mingles with it. Simplicity, grace and dignity are the implications of his work and the world.
