Antigua and Barbuda: A 73 years old British man died during his snorkeling trip on the southern end of the island. The reports have revealed that the incident occurred on Tuesday around midday.

The incident took place when the man fell ill during the expedition, was quickly transported to Sir Lester Bird Medical Center so he could be given the treatment. While he was not responding to any of the treatment, the medical team of the center laid all their efforts to save him.

However, no treatment given to him responded positively, and he was pronounced dead at around 1:30 pm. The investigations are going in the nation to reach to the depth of the incident. The police officials remain on the scene to conduct further investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death.

Several of the cases like this alarms the people of the nation and the ones who are visiting. Several of the cases on a frequent basis come into the light that raise the security concerns.

Few years back as well, one of the incidents was recorded of the death of a US citizen while snorkeling. He was a 64 years old man who was pronounced dead. Even at the times of such an incident, the authorities and medical staff made every possible effort to save him. However, failed.

There were two men who were at the risk, out of which one got saved and the other one died. The other person was kept under observation in the hospital, but his condition was not thought to be life threatening.

Both the men had arrived in the nation to visit the Cayman Islands with their families. Considerably, water related deaths are very common in the Caribbean region and there is the severe need of this to be addressed.
