Bank of Nevis expands to St Kitts, opens a branch on Fort Street

Bank of Nevis now holds a branch in the neighbouring island of St Kitts. The new branch was opened on Tuesday, where Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris welcomed the decision.

The Bank of Nevis has been in operation for 35 years, and a new branch is located at Fort Street, Basseterre.

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Timothy Harris stated that the opening of the Bank of Nevis Limited branch in St Kitts is a testimonial to the solid and friendly relationship between the Nevis Island Administration (NIA), Federal Cabinet and also the inhabitants of both islands.

Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley, Lady Sheila Daniel and banking officials from both islands also attended the inauguration function.

During the ceremony, Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley asserted the constant presence of a larger business that are headquartered in Nevis on the island of St Kitts depicts a severe improvement in the connection between the islands.

He also stated that he is happy that the local banks are loading up area because when the Bank of Nevis does well, Nevis succeeds well, St Kitts does well, and our nation does well.

Besides this, Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB), Dr Timothy Antoine, stated that the Bank of Nevis (BON) has now entered the premier league after establishing a new branch in St Kitts.

He added that Indigenous banks hold an advantage in reverence of the banking classifications because they are from here.
