Jamaica: A 14-year-old Boy was fatally beaten by a security guard at a bus stop in Pembroke Hall, Kingston, on Thursday.

Jamaica: A 14-year-old Boy was fatally beaten by a security guard at a bus stop in Pembroke Hall, Kingston, on Thursday. After the incident, the victim got severe injuries and was in a deadly state. He was then admitted to the hospital for further treatment.
As per the reports, the incident took place sometime after 10 AM when the 14-year-old was standing at a bus stop. He was approached by a 42-year-old man, who held him by his shirt collar and started beating him in the face.
The suspect later also dragged him along the roadways, causing several injuries to his body and damage to his school uniform. Meanwhile, the Police have been summoned immediately by the locals, and the suspect has been arrested now.
He was identified as Dwayne Lemond of Waltham Park Road and is charged with assault occasioning bodily harm and malicious destruction of property.
Moreover, several community people have extended their sadness over this shocking incident. They claimed that the man might have drunk or was mentally upset. Others were also seen wanting more depth to the incident and said there must be an untold story behind the incident.
In the comment section, a user identified as Richard Tingling mentioned, "Why ! Must have had a reason ! An some of Di yout dem too bright for dem own good !! Need discipline sometimes".
Another user emphasised the rising violent acts and crimes in the country day by day, while the government has made no strict actions and amendments. "I don't know what happens to these people. Everything is violence," a user added.
Other users also said that the accused has no right to beat a child with a sense of such inhumanity. "Whatever may be the reason, as a man of the law, that's not the right way to go about it," a user named Angella Smikle. Noted.
A user also hoped that the case might not turn the opposite and wished for the speedy recovery of the victim. "I'd like to hear what transpired. I hope it wasn't a case of him being attacked by the minor, as many of today's youngsters are indisciplined and violent. (Not saying that that's the case)," a user mentioned.
