It has been a year since the first coronavirus patient appeared in Wuhan, China. Over 1.25 million people have so far died due to this chronic virus disease, and millions of people are still infected.
As per the recent reports published by a famous Chinese Daily, the first COVID-19 patient is suspected to be a 55-year-old man from Hubei province who was diagnosed on November 17, 2019.
However, the first case was originally reported by Chinese Authorities on December 31.
The world is unknown to the origin of this contagious virus, but some suspect it started from a live animal market in Wuhan, China. After the spread of virus Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market had been closed.
The Chinese government also implemented stringent regulations restricting such markets selling wildlife animals.
After the origin of first official coronavirus cases in China, the authorities alerted the World Health Organization informing that multiple cases of acute pneumonia with an unidentified cause had been detected in Wuhan province.
The Royal Air Force (RAF) began to fly citizens’ home and brought them to Brize Norton. They were taken to a hospital on the Wirral and then isolated for 14 days.
Soon after, the world changed forever, and the worst pandemic of the 21st Century was spread all over the world. WHO declared it a world health emergency and all countries started to record a large number of cases. First coronavirus related death outside Asia was recorded in France, and from there, millions of other died all across the world with the United States being the most impacted and India second-most.
Initially, the situation in Italy was the most critical after China; people were dying- 600-900 a day. Everyone was scared. Spain followed the second most critical health crisis after Italy.
Countries across the globe imposed restrictions, closed-down borders and imposed lockdowns.
As the winter approaches, the countries are afraid of a second wave. Coronavirus cases continue to rise, and the United Kingdom have imposed another lockdown till December 03.
