St Kitts and Nevis: The Leader of People's Action Movement Shawn Richards shared the qualities of a good leader and said that a leader must be a "good listener". He stated as the elections of St Kitts and Nevis are approaching, people across the country are just asking for a fair opportunity for affordable housing, better healthcare, meaningful employment, and access to funding to start their businesses, among many other concerns.
Shawn Richards said that under his leadership with the partnership of the Concerned Citizens Movement they get this done, "we will put you, the people first,".
"As we move across constituencies, we feel the outpour of love. Many of you are committed to moving forward with the PAM-The People's Action Movement because you know a team under my leadership will always put you first. We are the best choice for St Kitts & Nevis."
He stated that the People's Action Movement is ready to govern, "We are ready to make government work for all citizens of this great federation, and not for one family, but all families,".
Besides this, Shawn Richards and other representatives of the People's Action Movement (PAM) also toured constituency number eight and interacted with the people, heard their problems and promised to bring solutions upon being elected into the government. During the tour, PAM representatives dressed up in their signature yellow and black t-shirts, accompanied by yellow coloured hats.
Shawn Richards said that during the constituency tour, people expressed concerns over the rising cost, among other issues. He said PAM has a solution to these problems.
"People's Action Movement (PAM) has a plan to address many of the different concerns of people; I was able to speak to some people regarding our plan to help young persons to access the finances to open their own businesses,".
He said his party wants to see more business opportunities in constituency number eight so that people can become able to develop themselves.
