A woman busted for smuggling cocaine through RL Bradshaw airport has been sentenced to 18 months in prison.
Pia Nisbett, of Nevis, arrived in St Kitts on a flight from Antigua on 1 May 2016.
She pleaded guilty on charges of possession of cocaine, importation of cocaine, and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
When customs searched her luggage they found nothing of note, but when patting her down they found drugs inside the underwear she was wearing.
The cocaine weighed 0.25 kilograms, police said.
Nisbett received a custodial sentence with hard labour for the importation charge but no punishment for the others.
