Ambassador and Former Premier of Nevis Vance Amory's daughter Abena Amory shared a heartfelt message on her Facebook account following her father's sudden demise. She said, "Our father, Vance Winkworth Amory, has peacefully transitioned from this earthly life,". "I searched my heart to find words to describe the shock and feeling of utter loss his passing has brought to our lives and yet the words escape me," she further added. Abena said she is unable to explain the emotions and take the fact that her father is no longer alive. "There are so many emotions that flood my inner being at this time; feelings that I hope with time will become easier to bear. Our forever father..the one who made us feel safe and protected is gone! The one who would scold us but gladly pick us up when we fall. The one who was quiet, sensitive but tough. The one who united us and shunned discord.Yes that one! Our Dad! He was the most amazing man we knew! And now, the beautiful memories of our forever Dad will rest gently on our hearts always." she wrote on Facebook on Monday morning. She also thanked people for their messages and condolences, "Thanks to all who have reached out and offered their condolences.
