Belize: City councillor Micah Goodin detained following altercation between 2 groups

As per reports, Belize City Councillor Micah Goodin raced to the Queen Street police station in his Nissan Rogue on late Friday evening. The back window had been shot out allegedly by a licensed gun holder as the SUV sped off from its parking spot on Newtown Barracks behind the Icon Building.
The man who says he fired shots at the vehicle is traffic warden, Kenyon Wilson. He said that around 2:00 AM, there had been an altercation between some of his friends and the group councillor Goodin was with.
He says he approached Goodin - who he claims had an exposed pistol in his waist - to talk. He claims Goodin got into the Nissan Rogue and drove off. As the vehicle moved off, Wilson claims someone in the back fired 3 shots.
Wilson then pulled out his licensed firearm and says he fired 4 shots at the moving vehicle. Police say that 20 year old Tae Medina, a student of Causarina Street was taken to the KHMH with minor injuries - which were suspected to have been caused by the shooting since he was inside the vehicle with Micah Goodin and another man, Tarique James.Police stated that they recovered five 9mm expended shells at the scene and have detained Micah Goodin, Tarique James and Kenyon Wilson pending investigation of the shooting.
