Opposition Leader Kamla Persad Bissessar stated that Prime Minister Keith Rowley's desperation is growing. She, while referring to the announcement of a cabinet reshuffle, stated that "shuffling the same losing pack won't work".

United National Congress leader stated that the news that said it is no surprise that the People's National Movement led government has decided to reshuffle the Cabinet ministers.

"This is yet another bare endeavour of the Prime Minister to divert citizens from the humiliations which derailed his already tumbling Administration."

She said that the PM Rowley and his entire Cabinet should step down over their massive failures, corruption and lies.

"About one month after the miserable events at the Paria Fuel company where four divers sadly lost their lives, Rowley's administration has not finalized the official investigation details or hold anyone responsible," said Bissessar.

She further added, "After finally obeying the law and screaming for a committee of Enquiry, Rowley has yet to detail the full addition of Commissioners for the Enquiry,".

The recent disclosures made by the Occupational Safety and Health Agency(OSHA) stating that OSHA had no part in informing Paria to stand down from trying to rescue the four trapped divers is deeply upsetting, said Bissessar.

She added that the statement by OSHA directly contradicts official statements made by Paria and points to a potential attempt at a coverup by the Government/ Further, the recent resignation of one of the inspectors from OSHA who was working on this same case only raises more questions as per the opposition.

"If this was not enough, Keith Rowley's now open statement that it was he who blocked the Police Service Commission Merit List at President's House is beyond despicable," Kamla Persad added in a press release on Wednesday.

"Rowley's dictatorial actions led to the collapse of the Police Service Commission and is why our nation lacks a substantive Police Commissioner when the crime situation requires a strong and stable Commissioner at the helm of the TTPS," said Kamla Persad.

Kamla Persad alleged that the Prime Minister has also involved Her Excellency President Paula Mae-Weeks in heavy infringing on the Constitution.

"Rowley's latest messy scrambled Cabinet Reshuffle is just a symbol of an embattled Prime Minister soaking in his lies and evident transgressions," she further emphasized.

Kamla Persad stated that the United National Congress will not stop demanding justice for the four deceased divers, "We will not stop holding Keith Rowley responsible for his law-breaking actions regarding the Police Service Commission."
