During his weekly "Anou Pale," Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit showed that he had recently visited the site in Joe Burton in Wesley where these residences would be developed.
The Prime Minister added that these 37 residences would be given in exchange for houses that will be displaced by the construction of Dominica's most significant project. The Dominican Prime Minister stated that the residential units would include two, three, and four bedrooms.

These residences are going to be fully climate-resilient, and the construction is expected to complete by the end of August 2021.
Prime Minister noted that these homes are for people directly impacted by the construction of the international airport. The remaining housing units for other residents of Wesley would also continue.
International Airport is the biggest structural project ever built in the small Caribbean island of Dominica. The estimated cost of the project is expected to be more than 900 million dollars. It is the most awaited by all Dominicans as well as the Dominican diaspora and the travelers who desire to visit the "Nature Island" for vacation.
Unlike other neighboring islands, Dominica does not have an international airport capable of long-haul flights. However, this is believed to be changed in the coming months.Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit had announced that the construction of the international airport is suspected to begin in the first quarter of this year.
He continues to emphasize the government is obliged to take all necessary measures to minimize the impact on those who are affected.Latest
