Enthusiasm of training remains high while temperature is getting lower at Pan Am Games 2019
Training for these athletes has started even in the temperature getting colder in Peru with every passing day. These athletes are in full enthusiasm to make their nation win medals at these international games.

2019 Pan American games started on the 26th of July in Lima, Peru. Dominica’s Commonwealth Games medallist Thea Lefond is competing in women’s triple jump while Dillon Simon is representing the country for shotput competition in these games.
Some 20 Caribbean nations are set to participate in the games including Dominica, Antigua and Barbuda, St Kitts and Nevis, Jamaica, Grenada, Barbados, Haiti, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.
Training for these athletes has started even in the temperature getting colder in Peru with every passing day. These athletes are in full enthusiasm to make their nation win medals at these international games.
2018 Commonwealth Games medallist Thea LaFond said, "Well I do know when things are colder out or cooler out it's harder to get ready and I figure it can take somewhat longer for your body to get ready. Yet, I think the stunt is ensuring you wear your layers, give yourself adequate time to heat up and ensure that you likewise keep the correct attitude. I think the chilly climate consistently loses individuals rationally and most of this whole game is all psychological and we can't hazard waiting there."
In addition to that, she said, "So far I'm simply so appreciative for how kind and respecting everybody's been. I didn't know what's in store however since we've been around here we've been dealt with like more distant family and that is astonishing, particularly when you're voyaging so distant from home, to come into another spot and feel so warm despite the fact that the temperature isn't so warm," .

It is also notable that this is the first time that Pan Am have visited Peru in the event’s long history.
