St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party team visited the students and staff of the Joshua Obadiah Primary School at their new sites at the Explorer's Club Headquarters in Phillip's.

St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party team visits Joshua Obadiah Primary School
St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party team visited the students and staff of the Joshua Obadiah Primary School at their new sites at the Explorer's Club Headquarters in Phillip's.  The purpose of the visit was to lend support from the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party to the students, staff, parents, and the community of the Molineux area who were affected by the unfortunate incident of the burning of the school. All three leaders encouraged the children to continue to work hard and do their best despite the circumstances. Notably, the Joshua Obadiah Williams Primary School was set on fire by some unidentified individuals on March 18, 2022 St Kitts and Nevis Labour Party leader Terrance Drew encouraged the children to continue to stay committed and pledged the support of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party.  He stated, "The SKNLP joins in extending our support to you and will do all that we can do to ensure that there is a smooth transition into the new environment. Continue to work hard and do your best. Even though this is a difficult change, you have the ability to transition and perform at your best. To the children, I understand the trying and difficult situation. We are here for you. Continue to do your best,". Terrance Drew also shared the objective of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party, stating that "The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party as part of its wider policy for education will create an education system with a modernized curriculum that meets the 21st-century demands to ensure our students can continue to thrive in any environment locally, regionally, or internationally. " The SKNLP will be donating medical and school supplies to assist the staff and students of the Joshua Obadiah Primary School. He also applauded staff and teachers for the amazing job they have been doing.  "I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you on behalf of the SKNLP and encourage you to continue to create that sense of normalcy for the children. You have the full support of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party." Deputy Leader Konris Maynard encouraged the children to remain focused,".  He stated, "We are here today to support you, your parents, your teachers, and the staff of your school during this difficult time. Despite this temporary setback back, I want to encourage all of you to stay the course and stay focused on your schoolwork. As the great Calypsonian, the Mighty Sparrow sang '... And there is simply no room in this Whole Wide World; For an uneducated little boy or girl; Don't allow idle companion, to lead you astray; To earn tomorrow you've got to learn today!' Deputy Leader Geoffrey Hanley also encouraged the students to work hard in this new environment and pledged his support.  "It is a beautiful environment you are in; do not be discouraged or stressed by the unfortunate event that took place. Take advantage of the beautiful environment. While I am not the Minister of Education, I will do whatever is in my power to assist and support you," he added.
