Three Haitians flee quarantine facility in Dominica
Three individuals have been reported to escape a government quarantine facility in Dominica. As per the police officials, these individuals belonged to Haiti

Portsmouth, Dominica: Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the government of Dominica have tightened restrictions on people arriving from foreign countries, and also individual found under the contact tracing are subject to isolation.
Recently, three individuals have been reported to escape a government quarantine facility in Dominica. As per the police officials, these individuals belonged to Haiti and were undergoing isolation at the quarantine facility.
All these are male, ageing from 27 to 39-year-old. Police giving detailed information stated that these people are named Wisner Estime, 29, who resident of Trafalgar; Frantzo Joseph, 37, who lived at Portsmouth and 38-year-old Jean Brenton Paul, who lived in Pottersville.
Reasons for fleeing from the quarantine facility remains unknown, and police are seeking the support of locals in finding these escapers.
In a notice signified by the Head of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Superintendent Matthew Cuffy has asked people to report any information related to the whereabouts of the missing men to the CID or the nearest police station. The police have also released numbers to share the information, which is 2665164 and 2665165.
As the coronavirus is a contagious disease, the administration is vigilant in finding the men who escaped the quarantine facility in order to protect other residents of Dominica.
Any person under the suspect of the coronavirus is placed in quarantine not just in Dominica but across the world. Fleeing isolation without the approval of medical experts can be dangerous for other people.
Dominica is currently running a vaccination drive, and more than 14,000 people have been immunized with the Oxford Astrazeneca coronavirus vaccine. Recently, the country also received the Sinopharm vaccine from China, and the health ministry is looking to administer it to kids over the age of three.
Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, President Charles Savarin have also received their first doses of the coronavirus vaccine. The health-authorities are moving to different towns to ease the immunization process for people.
