Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit stated that unlike all other Christmas', this time the church pews are not going to be packed and even those who are going to attend mass would be physically distanced.

Besides this, Prime Minister referred to 2020 as the year of COVID-19 Christmas and stated that everything is radically different from what everyone is accustomed.

Prime Minister emphasised that instead of lamenting these challenges, we all should learn the lessons that COVID-19 is teaching.

"COVID-19 is calling for us to create a kinder, more caring country and world. Perhaps, it should motivate us to construct a world that is more respectful of Mother Earth and the family of humanity," added PM Skerrit.

Delivering the Christmas message, Prime Minister Dr Skerrit stated," From my family and the family of the Dominica Labour Party, I extend to all Dominicans and their families, my wishes for a safe, blessed, peaceful and happy Christmas season and 2021 when our resilience, faith and effort allow us to rise above any circumstances, to a place of new hope and the fulfilment of the promise."
