Belize: Wife of Andrew Ashcroft, Jasmine Hartin, 32, is out on bail again after officials at the Central Prison, Hattieville, secured confirmation of her meeting the specifications for bail. Jasmine Hartin, the wealthy socialite, charged with shooting the death of a top Belize cop Henry Jemmott, 43, following a dockside booze-a-ramma. However, Hartin, in an interview with DailyMail said that occurrence was merely an accident that happened when Jemmott was teaching her to use a Glock firearm. Following the departure of her original bail in the Supreme Court last week Friday, the process to identify and secure a new surety began almost immediately but concluded only this morning, indicating she spent four days behind bars. The 32-year-old Canadian born claimed that she is not feeling safe in the bars of Belize; she would be murdered.  Notably, her estranged common-law husband’s family is among the most wealthy and powerful in Central American countries. She also added that her billionaire husband Ashcroft who is the son of British billionaire Michael Ashcroft is refusing to allow Hartin to see her 4-year-old twins. "Why won’t you let me see the kids, Andrew? Why won’t you let me see the children?” She said to local news. “Why are you halting me from being at my house and seeing my kids, Andrew? You do not want to be on camera? Why are you keeping my kids from me, Andrew? You lied to my whole family. Let me see my children,” she added.  Last Thursday, accompanied by her mom and a pal, she entered the Ashcroft family resort and demanded to see her children but her estranged husband Andrew refused. “I’m walking up right now to seek to see my children, and all of the girls are on standby. And there’s Andrew also; Andrew’s running, so I can’t see my children,” she noted. She had reportedly confessed to authorities that she was practising loading a Glock when it went off and killed Jemmott on May 28 after a night of drinking. Notably, she was released two weeks ago on bail of 30,000 Belizean dollars, or USD $15,000. Additionally, Hartin is now represented by Richard “Dickie” Bradley, who complained of an “ambush” plotted by the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions and Police Department and said they had acted “immorally and unethically” by objecting to bail on a minor offence and then seeking to try to revoke the original bail or in the alternative, convincing surety to withdraw, solely on the basis of the new charges and without notice to himself and his client.
