St Kitts and Nevis: 3 high jump athletes qualify for CARIFTA 2024

Three Athletes from St Kitts and Nevis have secured their spot in the CARIFTA 2024 in the high jump category. Notably, Kaden Mills, Kirkland Harris and Jermahd Huggins were selected during the first-ever jump-off Event held on Saturday at the Nevis Athletics Stadium.The Under 17 champions, Kaden Mills and Kirkland Harris, recorded the highest jump of 1.75m and 1.80m, respectively. Meanwhile, the Under 20 Champion, Jermahd Huggins, successfully recorded at 2.00m.Notably, the CARIFTA Games 2024 will be hosted in the Spice Isle of Grenada from March 30 to April 1, 2024, at the Kirani James Athletic Stadium in Georgetown. The trials will take place at the Nevis Athletics Stadium till March 2. These are hosted by the St Kitts and Nevis Athletics Association. So far, about 18 sports champions from St Kitts and Nevis have successfully made their spaces reserved.In addition to this, earlier last week, about five new athletes and qualifiers of Horsfords Classic Track and Field in Nevis were made for the CARIFTA 2024. These athletes are DeCheynelle Thomas, Malik Freeman, Kilan Morton, Dethrone Harris and Jalen Daniel.
