The Consulate General of Saint Lucia in Toronto is all set to host the grand gala of the country's 45th Independence Anniversary. The event will be held on February 24, 2024, at 6 pm EST at the Preston Event Centre, Ottawa.

This grand gala celebration is being hosted to celebrate 45 years of the island nation's independence from Britain. Since 1979, the country is celebrating its independence on February 22 every year.

The Anniversary Gala in Ottawa, Canada, will be hosted by the Saint Lucia Ottawa Association under the patronage of the Consul General of Saint Lucia to Toronto - Henry Mangal.

The association also invited all the Saint Lucians living in Canada to join this prestigious event. As per the information, interested individuals need to purchase tickets beforehand for entry to this event. The early bird tickets cost at $90 for seniors, $95 for adults and $60 for children (under 18) During the celebration, the keynote address will be given by H.E. Julian Dubois - Ambassador for Diaspora Affairs. In addition to this, the entertainment will be provided by Robbie and the Hibiscus Jamz Band, while music will be managed by Hypnotix Sounds throughout the event.

The Consulate will also host the celebrations in Mississauga as well on March 2 at the Luxe Convention Centre to make it easy for the nationals of Saint Lucia to join the festivities at their own convenience.
