The fact is that we feel we can do much extra with Spain.”

The foreign minister indicated on the visa-free access that both nations fancy.

“That always benefits as we try to advance people-to-people contact and diplomacy. We are anticipating that through you and your efforts we can do better in terms of tourism, training, scholarship opportunities and we really desire to see that energy as we try to energize the relationships that we have now and make them even more stronger,” he said. “It is always our goals here at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to expand connections with friendly nations to extend our diplomatic trace and assuredly we think that we can profit from things like your language training.”

Minister Brantley referenced the cultural relations among the two nations.

“Spain, of course, has a very formidable footfall culture in St. Kitts and Nevis… so there are lots of fields in sports, culture and language that we believe we can benefit from and we are fortunate that with you and with the energy that we know you will bring to the role, that St Kitts and Nevis and Spain will foster even broader relations,” said the minister.
