Man escapes with injury as bullets fly again in St Kitts

Another exchange of gunfire rocked St Kitts yesterday but fortunately left no serious injury.
One man was shot in on of his legs during the shooting, which happened last night in Upper Shaw Avenue in Basseterre.
The victim has been named as 25-year-old Vance Parris, a resident of Prickly Pear Alley.He is currently in a stable condition, police said.
One source said that masked men arrived in a black vehicle before firing several rounds.
"Preliminary investigations revealed that Parris was in the area when unknown assailants began shooting at him from a vehicle," according to a statement from officers.
"He is currently listed as being in stable condition. The scene was processed and a number of items were recovered and taken into police custody."
The last month has seen a number of firearm incidents rock the federation, with one opposition senator criticises the government's attitude towards crime.Latest
