St Kitts and Nevis establishes diplomatic ties with Republic of Sudan after signing two agreements

Further, both the representatives have signed two agreement which includes a joint communiqué to establish diplomatic relations as well as Visa Waiver Agreement in the meeting.
The signing ceremony of both the agreements has been held at the New York mission of St Kitts and Nevis, which further strengthened the friendship ties between the two countries.
The leaders have also expressed their pleasure to meet each other stressed upon the importance of the diplomatic relations between the countries.
The meeting also features the promise of the promotion of the economic and cultural links by signing the first agreement. The agreement will aid both countries economically. It will also access the people of both nations to connect with each other culturally.
Moreover, the tourism sector also witnessed a significant boost in both countries, especially with the second agreement. The agreement grants visa-free access up to 90 days both ways for the holder of diplomatic, official and ordinary passports.
The leaders have also discussed various matters of concern in addition to the signing of the agreement, which includes the areas of cooperation such as Natural Resources, Natural Resources, Citizenship by Investment, Transport, and greater Africa-CARICOM partnership.
Until the secession of South Sudan, Sudan was a large northeast African country, representing more than 8% of the African continent and almost 2% of the world’s land area. The Republic of Sudan is now an area bordered by Egypt, Libya, Chad, the Central African Republic, South Sudan, Eritrea, and the Red Sea.
Signing with the Republic of Sudan brings the number of countries that can be accessed by our nationals visa-free or visa upon arrival to 162.Latest
