Four recovers from coronavirus in St Lucia: Health Ministry

Health Ministry of St Lucia has confirmed the successful recovery of four coronavirus patients, bringing the total active cases to 342. Authorities noted that once the patient is still in critical care while all others are stable.
St Lucia has confirmed a total of 770 coronavirus cases and ten deaths. People in the country have started to panic, and the government has also announced the shutdown of all schools, offices.Coronavirus cases are rapidly increasing, and the authorities are struggling to find the contact tracing.
St Lucia is fully open to tourism, and Prime Minister Allen Chastanet says that the country cannot afford another lockdown. Health authorities believe the community transmission of coronavirus as the recently all the cases detected were St Lucian local citizens who appeared at their nearby respiratory clinics after feeling unwell.
Allen Chastanet's government advised people to work from home and avoid taking part in large gathering meetings. The government has also shifted the business hours to 9 pm instead of 11 pm.A limitation is also imposed on social gatherings, and people are advised to stay in their households. However, Special exemption for worship and religious activity to take place with physical services limited to 25 people.
Neighboring French island Martinique is in much worse condition than St Lucia, with over 6300 cases of coronavirus and 44 deaths due to the contagious disease.
Some believe that there illegal entry of people from Martinique island may be accounting for silent patients who could not be tested because of their unlawful status.
Dominica, St Kitts, and Nevis, on the other hand, have been quite better in terms of handling the pandemic; no virus-related deaths have been recorded in these two island nations, which are also open to tourism but under extremely strict conditions, and all international travelers are quarantined.
