Dominica Labour Party which is in power from almost two decades in Commonwealth of Dominica is coming up as winning party in the upcoming elections and makes a historical win to serve the nation for another five years. Recent polls conducted by CADRES shows that Dominica Labour Party is winning the date of the general elections December 06 with 18 seats out of 21.
After the devastation by Hurricane Maria and Tropical Storm Erika, it was merely impossible for this small Caribbean island to get back on its feet.
It was the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) and leadership of Prime Minister and Party leader Dr Roosevelt Skerrit that made the miraculous development possible. The policies and schemes started by the government under the administration of DLP have provided free houses, education and health care services to the people of Dominica.
As per the leader himself, Dominica after the opening of Dominica-China friendship hospital has the most excellent healthcare system in the entire English-speaking Caribbean region. Also, the Dominica State College is facilitating students with maximum knowledge at minimal costs.
The advanced hospital is providing modern healthcare services at no cost to children under the age of 18 and older above the age of 60.
The homeless are getting a free roof over their heads, the housing system of the nation is one of the amazing around the world where the government is giving away climate-resilient homes without charging anything or imposing any new taxations on the inhabitants.
The administration of DLP has made it possible that people belonging to constituencies such as Vielle Case are now well educated, and every house has a college graduate working in a good position.
Bridges connecting one part of the country to another vanished under the waters of rivers after Hurricane Struck the nation, but the state recovered to all of that in just a short period that better road chains with durable bridges can be seen around the island.
The new port, cruise village and advanced Roseau enhancement project are among some amenities that the DLP is planning to provide in their next term.
