Guyana: Two arrested for more than $1 million worth robberies around country

The Guyana police finally succeeded in two individuals of carrying out multiple robberies around the country. As per the report, the duo robbed around one million worth of things from several different locations
Nazim Omroo, 49, also called 'Roll-it-up' of Swan Soesdyke Linden Highway, and Lanthee Hinds, 39, a driver of One Mile Soesdyke Linden Highway, were both arrested on Tuesday by ranks from the Timehri Police Station.The two men were jointly charged on Friday with the following offences: Break and enter and larceny was committed at Sherman Bob's residence between February 28, 2022, and March 5, 2022. Police stated that the men stole some items totalling $1,965,000.
They both appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate Court Number One, before His Worship Sunil Scarce, where the charge was read to them.
The AJA was applied and Omroo pleaded guilty while Hinds pleaded not guilty. Sentencing for Omroo was deferred to March 25, 2022, while Hinds was remanded until the said date for disclosure of statements.The duo was also charged with another break and enter, larceny, which was committed in the shop of Joseph De Freitas on Saturday last. Police stated that the men stole some items totalling $625,000.
The men appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrate's Court No. 1 before His Worship Sunil Scarce, where the charge was read to them. The AJA was applied, and they both pleaded not guilty and were remanded until March 25, 2022, for disclosure of statements. Additionally, Omroo was also charged separately for the following offences.
Break and enter, larceny were committed in the shop of Sharell Craig, which occurred on March 01, 2022. He stole several items totaling $150 000.
He appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrates at Court No. One before His Worship, Sunil Scarce, where the charge was read to him.
The AJA was applied, and he pleaded guilty. However, sentencing was delayed until March 25, 2022.
Lastly, he was charged with another break and enter larceny committed in the shop of Reichhardt Danns, which occurred on February 03, 2022, and February 05, 2022. He stole several articles totalling $362, 000.
He appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrates' Coury No One, before His Worship Sunil Scarce, where the charge was read to him. The AJA was applied, and he pleaded guilty. However, sentencing was deferred until March 25, 2022.
