A businessman from Guyana recently shared his story of catching COVID-19. He spoke to the local media to reveal the reality of the virus and how it affects the body in bad ways.

Bisham Persaud is a prominent businessman in Devil's Hole in the Cuyuni River. He had contracted covid during his travels to and from the Cuyuni river. Upon his covid diagnosis, he spent one week in the ICU, three weeks in the recovery and then further home isolation.
Persaud recounted to the many deaths he saw while in the hospital. Some of the folks he had actually started to make friends with. He recounted also the harrowing symptoms of covid. While he is lucky to be alive, the doctors have indicated that the damage to his lungs is permanent.Even though he is now out of hospital, his condition continue to be remain in a very sesitive situation. Persaud revealed that he now continuously faces difficulties doing his day to day tasks on a normal pace. He said he gets tired and breathless as doctors said his lungs are now permanently damaged because of the coronavirus.
He is encouraging persons to take the vaccine to bolster their chances of survival in the event that they contract covid. Persaud thanked the medical system and staff for saving his life. He asked people to believe in the vaccine because it lowers the impacts of severe virus-related disease.Latest
