St Lucia opposition say PM is ‘not truthful’
Row has broken out over Owen King European Union Hospital
Tuesday, 13th March 2018

The opposition St Lucia Labour Party has labeled the prime minister a liar over claims it raised the concept of privatising Owen King European Union Hospital.
According to the party, word has reached them that Allen Chastanet is placing the blame on the previous government.
Leader of the opposition Philip J Pierre said he categorically denies the statement, calling it egregious and may even be malicious.
This “untruth can easily be debunked by referencing the Millennium Heights Medical Complex Act that was passed in the House of Parliament in 2015.”
The act established the Complex, and also provides for “the establishment and management of the medical complex and for related matters.”
The SLP says that it is convinced that there are no limitations to the Prime Minister’s callous disregard for the truth.
The St Lucia Labour Party will issue a full statement on the matter at an upcoming press conference.
