St Kitts-Nevis PM appreciate key stakeholders for their support during Covid-19 Pandemic

Amid Coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak across the region, the Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr. the Honourable Timothy Harris, On Sunday appreciated all the key stakeholders who remain helpful in ensuring that residents and citizens of the twin-island nation continue to be protected from the spread of the global pandemic outbreak. During the National Emergency Operations Center's (NEOC’s) COVID-19 Daily Briefing on Sunday PM Harris said that on behalf of all of the people in St. Kitts and Nevis, he wants to thank the association of the NEOC and the Health Emergency Operations Center (HEOC) and all others who are working so hard to guarantee that we flatten the curve as soon as possible so that life can be return back to normalcy. Dr Harris praised health officials for their steadfast commitment for being on the frontline as the country works to overcome the COVID-19 pandemic. “I want to commend the leadership of the Minister with responsibility for Health, Senator Wendy Phipps, the high command in their administrative field of the Ministry, Permanent Secretary Delores Stapleton-Harris and all the other support staff and the medical practitioners,” said Dr. Harris. “I want to thank them all. They have brought joy to a difficult task and when we would have redeemed the time their names would be among those of our residents and citizens who did all in their power to help Federation shine as we must shine after the COVID-19,” he added. He also praised Cabinet for being incredibly supportive of the instructions given by professional persons in whom they “reposed” their confidence. Special thanks were also given to all other key stakeholders who have been on board to help fight COVID-19. He said that the success stories of protecting residents and citizens against COVID-19 would be remembered. “When the book is written about the success of St. Kitts and Nevis in fighting COVID-19 several chapters will be reserved for our outstanding sons and daughters who gave of their time and even exposed themselves to ensure that the victory is won,” said Dr. Harris.
