Ukraine, World: Amid the Russia-Ukraine crisis, many of the Ukrainian women have been coming forward to stand for their country. Earlier, the picture of Ukrainian minister holding a gun went viral on social media now the former beauty queen has joined the queue and has started a fight to protect her country from the Russian Federation invasion.

The beauty queen of Ukraine, Anastasiia Lenna, who represented Ukraine in the 2015 Miss Grand International beauty contest, has held a gun and kept her crown and sash to protect her country.

She took her Instagram to share the picture of caring arms. She shared the picture of the arms in her hands following the war raged on in Kyiv. Apart from the actress, many other civilians across Ukraine have picked up arms and are doing their duty in protecting the country from Russian invasion.

Before the beauty queen, a photo of Ukrainian Member of Parliament Kira Rudik holding a gun went viral on the social media platforms.

While sharing the picture, the MP mentioned, “I learnt to use Kalashnikov to prepare myself to bear arms. It would sound surreal but it wasn’t in my mind, just a few days back. We (women) would protect the soil of Ukraine just like the Ukrainian men”.

Kira Rudik further said, “I was very furious when Russia started the fight against our country, I am still angry. I am still in dilemma that how the neighbouring country and its Prime Minister – Putin can deny the existence right of Ukraine. I am angry that the I have to leave my house, town and my family because we have been put under the threat of the ‘crazy dictator’.”

She further added that I’ll try to protect my country and family and I am also trying to organise

"I am protecting my family and I am organising the resistance group that would fight against Russians on our streets as they need to go back to where they came from our soil,” she added.

She further added that “We as an independent country will try to protect our sovereignty because I want my future generation to live in Ukraine that I have built for them not some Vladimir Putin”.
