Following the five years in the office as the government of St Kitts and Nevis, Team Unity organised a press conference to list out their accomplishments during the tenure.
Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis Dr Timothy Harris and Premier of Nevis Mark Brantley, Deputy PM Shawn Richards addressed the masses through the conference along with other dignitaries.
In an hour-long address, Premier of Nevis and CCM Leader Mark Brantley supported the ideologies and work composition strengthened by the Prime Minister Dr Timothy Harris as the leader of the government.
The leader appended that before 'Team Unity' took office, Nevisians were never given more distinguished rank opportunities notwithstanding their qualifications.
Speaking about the differentiation between the twin-island nation, Mark Brantley pronounced that St Kitts and Nevis never developed together specifically on the political aspect, but the association of 'Team Unity' has changed all the assumptions about discrepancies within both.
During the press conference, the leader did not clarify his support to PM Harris in upcoming general elections and left absolute shreds of confirmation presenting that he was explicitly listing out the qualities and accomplishments of 'Team Unity' regardless of who led the alliance.
"We did not just need to talk to talk, we need to walk to walk, people need someone to walk with their promises, I can tell you where the Nevis is concerned, and we are not going back, we are moving forward," added Mark Brantley.
Furthermore, the leader recalled the times when Dr Harris was chosen to be the Prime Minister in 2015, "I remember when I introduced Dr Timothy Harris to be PM of St Kitts and Nevis, It had taken a little longer to make the decision."
Premier of Nevis also emphasised on the fact that Team Unity has been able to control the criminal activities on the twin-island nation. "Crime is no longer an issue in St Kitts and Nevis because the 'Team Unity' government has handled the problem."
Other than this, Deputy Prime Minister and leader of People’s Action Movement landed his entire support to Dr Timothy Harris in upcoming general elections.
"PM Dr Timothy Harris has the support of myself and the candidates and supporters of the People’s Action Movement. He has our support to lead the Team Unity Movement through the General Elections and to serve as Prime Minister,” Deputy Prime Minister Richards told the nation." added Shawn Richards.
Despite repeated attempts Mark Brantley kept silence and did not revert back on the question put up by WIC News that does he support Dr Timothy Harris for the Prime Minister position if Team Unity retains government in St Kitts and Nevis.
