No eruptions at La Soufriere volcano in last 7 days: UWI
Seismic Institute of the University of the West Indies reported that the volcanic activities at the La Soufriere volcano in St Vincent and the Grenadines have remained low.

However, the Seismic Institute of the University of the West Indies noted that La Soufriere volcano continues to be in a state of unrest, and the alert remains red.
Seismic Insitute stated that explosions with accompanying ashfall of similar or larger magnitude to those that have already occurred in this eruption could take place with lesser or no warning. People are also advised to remain cautioned to visit International Volcanic Hazard Health Network for any volcanic ash related information at www.ivhhn.org/information. It has been more than three weeks since the La Soufriere volcano in St Vincent, and the Grenadines erupted. The eruptions were followed by massive volcanic ash falls, poor quality of air, contamination of water and flooding/landslide in some areas of the island.Scientists state that out of all the active volcanoes on earth St Vincent, and the Grenadines volcano is worrying them the most.
The eruptions at the La Soufriere volcano have been so massive that the World Meteorological Department reported that the carbon emissions reached all the way to India crossing the massive path of over 8,000 miles. More than 20,000 people are also displaced and accommodated in shelters across the country. Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves said that these shelters are mainly schools, while some Church buildings are also being used to accommodate the people from the Red and Orange zones.More than 35,000 meals are made daily to fulfil the food requirements of people, and many organizations have also come up to support the country in crisis.
