Teenager gunned down in Rawlins

Police in Nevis are investigating the death of a teenager shot dead yesterday morning.
Cleon Browne, 19, was killed just before midday in Rawlins.
According to the St Christopher and Nevis Police Force, officers found Browne’s body at the side of the road and riddled with gunshot wounds.
He was taken to Alexandra Hospital in Charlestown but was pronounced dead on arrival.
“The scene was processed by the crime scene technician and a number of spent shells were taken into police custody,” a police statement said.
“The police is committed to continuing to reduce crime in the Federation and solving crime when they occur.
“However, in order to be successful, as much information as possible is needed to assist with arresting and charging perpetrators of crime.”
Recently released preliminary crime figures show that there were 23 murders in the federation last year.
This figure is down from the 31 recorded in 2016.
