Nevis man ‘beaten and robbed after returning for funeral’
Victim was found 'tied up in the road'

A Nevisian man who returned to the island for a funeral has been robbed and beaten, WIC News understands.
Elmos Wilkes, who lives in St Croix, is believed to have been attacked overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Although he returned to Nevis for a funeral he stayed longer for the Culturama festival.
He is now understood to be in a serious condition at Alexandra Hospital in Charlestown.
One of Wilkes’ family members said last night: “He was found tied up on the road. He is in a mess in hospital.
“His face is swollen and he has lost his teeth.”
