Murder investigation launched on Nevis
Young man found dead this morning

St Kitts and Nevis police have begun a murder investigation after officers discovered the body of a young man this morning.
The police force received a report of gunshots being fired in the Hull Ground area, Gingerland, at around 10.45am.
When they arrived at the scene they found the lifeless body of Japheth Brown.
The age of the victim, who live in Bricklin, has not been confirmed although police have confirmed he was “in his early twenties.”
There were multiple gunshot wounds to his body, they added.
Shandy Jacobs, district medical officer, went to the scene and pronounced Brown dead.
“The Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force needs the help of the public and is urging persons with information about the incident to contact the Gingerland police station at 469-3448, the nearest police station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 8477 (TIPS),” said a statement from the force.
