Inclement weather postpones political events in Dominica

After the warning by Dominica Meteorological Service about tropical showers across the country, both the Dominica Labour Party and the United Workers Party have postponed their events which were scheduled to be held on Sunday i.e July 14. DLP had announced the launch of its candidate Joseph Isaac for Roseau North constituency, which was planned to be held on Sunday evening at Lindo Park in Goodwill has been postponed till next Sunday on July 21.

On the other hand, following the announcement of DLP about the event postpone, UWP also stated in a press release that its rally planned for La Plaine upcoming Sunday has also been postponed to next Sunday on July 21. The press release stated that “After having carefully considering the advice of the local weather experts and concerns for the safety they have taken this decision.
