Guyana: Global Superstar and Nigerian Afrobeat artist Burna Boy delivered world class performance at the ‘Unforgettable Concert’ in Guyana and made it a huge success. The event took place on Wednesday at the Guyana National Stadium and attracted a massive crowd.
The event called ‘Unforgettable’ also featured other regional performers including Tanya Stephens, Nigy Boy, Busy Signal, Timeka Marshall, Aw Lyrical and Zalchemi. The Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer is known for his fusion of Dancehall, Reggae, Afrobeat and Pop, and has won numerous awards and accolades, including a Grammy Award in 2021.
The Nigerian Afro-fusion star also known as the African Giant gave an electrifying performance which was worthy of its title. Burna Boy opened his performance with the fan-favourite song ‘Gbona’ and kept the energy buzzed throughout the hour-long performance.
He also performed his hit song ‘City Boys’ and kept the audience dancing and shouting, making the concert one for history books.
The night not only showcased Burna Boy as a global force but also solidified Guyana’s growing reputation as a premier entertainment hub. The concert’s name perfectly aligned with its name as it was unforgettable for everyone.
The highlight of the electrifying night was the fans performing the song instead of Burna Boy himself as they sang his global hit ‘Its Plenty’ word for word while the singer was dancing and and jumping all around the Guyana National Stadium stage.
Meanwhile, social media buzzed with positive reviews with several praising the artist for giving stellar performances back to back worldwide. “This is what we call greatness, burna discovering countries one have not heard of before,” one user, Yahaya Dokogi, wrote on Facebook.
Another attendee shared his video and said, “What an entrance,” along with fire emojis depicting his excitement for the singer’s performance.
A user named Shania Marques also said that Burna Boy was a 1000/10 experience with some even saying that he should come back again soon.
With this performance, the Nigerian sensation and global superstar has once again proved himself as one of the greatest music icon in the world.
