British couple targeted by burglary at Grenada home
Pair understood to have lived on island for a number of years
A British couple are said to be devastated after hearing that their home in Grenada has been broken into.
The pair are currently on holiday in the United Kingdom but managed to capture an image of the intruder inside their home via an online feed from their security cameras.
WIC News understands that the thief stole valuable goods, including a television and internet router.Police in Grenada are yet to confirm the details.
Speaking after the incident, one of the homeowners said that it appears the intruder got in through a window.
One of the homeowners said that she believed crime had “become a problem now” in Fort Judy and Westerhall Point.
Increased crime could affect the tourism and foreign investment, she added.
“The person who did it, I hope he’s pleased with himself, but he has an opportunity to return the goods,” said the husband.
“If he doesn’t, I hope he gets caught and I hope he gets punished.”
