Bahamas: The police officials in the Bahamas are actively investigating two separate fatal shooting incidents that took place shortly after midnight on Sunday. The incidents claimed the lives of an adult male aged 27 and another male believed to be a juvenile.
According to the reports, the first incident took place at a residence located on Graham Drive, Yellow Elder Gardens.
The preliminary reports revealed that a 27-year-old male was inside his residence along with his sibling when someone knocked at their door. It is said that upon opening the door, a male known to them took out a firearm and shot the victim several times before fleeing the area.
The other sibling reported the incident to the officials, who in turn arrived immediately and examined the victim, who showed no signs of life.
Meanwhile, the second incident took place at a residence in the Royal Palm Estates subdivision located near Cowpen Road.
The police officials reported that a 41-year-old male and a 36-year-old female were at their home when an unknown male arrived at their residence. The male and his accomplice forced themselves inside the home along with firearms.
In spite of the demands from the suspects, the homeowner confronted them, which led to a struggle in which he managed to disarm one of the suspects and consequently shot him several times. The second suspect also began shooting at the homeowner before fleeing the residence unharmed.
The alleged suspect, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds, was rushed to the hospital via ambulance but died of his injuries after some time.
While conducting investigations, the police officials revealed that they found a large quantity of suspected marijuana and also seized a firearm with ammunition, following which the officials detained the 41-year-old homeowner.
The investigations into both incidents are continuing, with the police looking for the suspect who killed the 27-year-old male.
