2nd OECS-ECCB Int’l Netball Series: Programme activities & schedule of matches

Roseau, Dominica: The final stage of the second OECS-ECCB International Netball Series has been started from 12 to 18 February at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium, Dominica.

The winning team will take the Gloria Ballantyne Championship Trophy home. Five of the ECCB members – Antigua and Barbuda, the Commonwealth of Dominica, Saint Lucia, St Kitts and Nevis and Saint Vincent and Grenadines, will contest in the tournament.

The Barbados team will make its debut this year. It would not compete for the trophy but will be a competitor.

The ranking of the teams would depend on the number of matches played and won.

This week’s episode would be attended by the President of the Caribbean Netball Association (CNA), Rufina Paul and President of the Dominica Netball Association (DNA), Regina Walsh.

The schedule was shared by OECS/ ECCB International Netball Series. According to the schedule, ‘opening ceremony’ will commence from 3:30 pm and the matches will start from 6 in the evening.

On every day, three matches would be played, commencing from 6 pm and the last match will start at 7.

FEBRUARY 13, SUNDAY

On Sunday, first match will be played between Dominica and Antigua & Barbuda, commencing from 6:00 pm at the first Court. The second match will be played between St Vincent & the Grenadines and St Kitts & Nevis, starting from 6:30 pm at the second Court. And the last match will be played at Court 1 between St Lucia and Barbados, beginning from 7:30 pm.

FEBRUARY 14, MONDAY

On the next day, the first match will be between St Kitts & Nevis and Barbados at Court 1, and the second will be played between Antigua & Barbuda and St Lucia at Court 2. St Vincent & the Grenadines and Dominica will play the third one at Court 1.

FEBRUARY 15, TUESDAY

The third-day matches will start with the game between St Vincent & The Grenadines and Antigua and Barbuda at #1. The second will be played by St Kitts & Nevis and St Lucia at #2, and the third match will be between Dominica and Barbados at #1.

FEBRUARY 16, WEDNESDAY

It will be a Personal Development Session Day.

FEBRUARY 17, THURSDAY

The tenth (first match of Feb 17) match will be played between Dominica and St Lucia and the next will be played by St Vincent & The Grenadines and Barbados at #2. Antigua & Barbuda and St Kitts & Nevis will play the third match.

FEBRUARY 18, FRIDAY

Barbados and Antigua & Barbuda will start the seventh day at #1, and the second match will be between Dominica and St Kitts & Nevis at #2. The last match will be played between St Lucia and St Vincent & The Grenadines.

The 'Closing and Award ceremony' will be held on the same day, commencing at 8:15 pm.
