St Kitts and Nevis: PE Officer Govanie Hendrickson named fourth Women's Month Awardee

St Kitts and Nevis: Concerned Citizens Movement Women's Arm shared the profile of Govanie Manners-Hendrickson, who has been named the fourth Women's Month Awardee.
Govanie Manners-Hendrickson is a Coach/P.E Officer. Her coaching lifestyle began over 15 years ago, with a young netball team named Majestics.
Her love for the sport later developed when she was given the opportunity to work in the Ministry of Education in 2010 as a PE officer. She was attached to Ivor Walters Primary and Gingerland Secondary as their netball coach, and also coached at the Cecily Browne Integrated School.
In 2011-12 Mrs.Hendrickson branched out with co-founder Mr. Dio Hendrickson and formed Dynamics Sports Club. The club has three entities of sporting aspects netball, basketball, and Handball.
The goal of the club is to start a football team within the club for young females and males. It is her belief that sports bring the community & family together.
Coach Hendrickson is certified in grassroots cricket WICB; level one throws coach in IAAF, Grassroots in FIFA, she has a level C in CONCACAF football, certified in Handball as a coach and a referee, she sits on Netball Nevis Committee, Nevis Basketball Association and The St.Kitts-Nevis Handball Association.
Coach Hendrickson believes anything can be accomplished through sports because it takes discipline.
