Magnitude 7 earthquake strikes Indonesia
Friday, 12th April 2019

Indonesia's geophysics agency says a tsunami is possible after a strong earthquake of magnitude 7 struck east of Sulawesi island.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties from the quake, which hit 280 km (174 miles) south of the province of Gorontalo at a depth of 43 km (27 miles), the agency added.
The epicenter of the quake is far from the city of Palu, which was devastated by an earthquake and tsunami in September.
