31 ISKCON members in Bangladesh tested Covid-19 positive

The ISKCON temple here inside the Bangladeshi capital has mentioned 31 coronavirus instances, following which the authorities locked down the constructing to prevent the unfold of the deadly virus, in line with media reviews on Sunday. Bangladesh has mentioned almost 5,000 COVID-19 instances and a hundred and forty deaths because of the disease.

“As many as 31 members of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) ashram placed in Swamibag location have tested advantageous for the novel coronavirus,” Gendaria police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Saju Miah became quoted as saying via the Dhaka Tribune.

“The inflamed have been isolated and are present process treatment. We have locked down the road of the area to save you the virus from spreading,” he stated.

The temple, which was closed for visitors for the reason that first COVID-19 case becomes reported in Bangladesh on March 8, was locked down on Saturday.

According to bdnews24, over 100 humans, which include priests, officials and devotees, reside inside the temple. The report said the infections had baffled the authorities as to how the participants of the temple, which was closed for outsiders, shrunk the lethal virus.

“No one became allowed into the temple. I don’t recognise how many people have been infected given a lot of care changed into taken,” Miah told bdnews24.
