The Wildcat Sanctuary (TWS) stated that Tiger named Caesar is safely back at the sanctuary after is an appointment at the AERC (Animal Emergency Referral Center) on Tuesday.
TWS said that crating and transporting a 500-lb tiger wasn't easy, that's for sure. And manoeuvring him through the testing there at the clinic was also a challenge.
As per TWS, Caesar is the largest animal Emergency Referral Center had there at their facility, and everyone worked together to get him the care and tests he needed.
"Unfortunately, the CT and the scoping they performed on him yesterday did not find the reason for his GI issues. Biopsies were taken, and we'll send those out for further lab testing. And, of course, we'll continue giving him supportive care. We hope that we get some answers soon so we can get him eating well and keep his weight on." TWS added.
The Wildcat Sanctuary also thanked all those people who donated Facebook Live Posts.
"We'll share what else we find once those other tests come back. But first, a Caesar-sized 'Thank You' and thunderous applause to his sponsors and those who donated. You can imagine just how expensive a day like this was in terms of veterinary costs, but we'll do anything to ensure Caesar is comfortable and well," the Wildcat Sanctuary added.
