UK: According to the Chinese government's newspaper Global Times, China's foreign minister has said that he has asked Britain to withdraw this wrong decision immediately and to exercise restraint in the language and actions of some MPs. The Chinese embassy in Britain issued a statement saying it was a "Despicable and cowardly" decision that would harm the interests of both countries.

In March, China imposed travel restrictions on seven British lawmakers and confiscated their assets. China said that these MPs were spreading 'lies and propaganda' about the treatment of Vigar Muslims.

For this reason, on Wednesday, the Chinese ambassador to Britain was barred from speaking at an event in the British Parliament. Members of many British parties were involved in hosting this event.

Speaker of the House of Commons Lindsay Hoyle and Speaker of the House of Lords John McFaul did not allow Zig Zeguang, to speak at an event in Parliament.

"I regularly hold meetings with ambassadors around the world to establish lasting relationships between countries and parliamentarians," Hoyle said.

"But I don't think it is appropriate for the Chinese ambassador to meet at the Commons Estate and at our workplace when his country has imposed sanctions against some of our members."

Earlier, China's ambassador to Britain was told that as long as the ban on some British MPs continued in China, they could not come to the country's parliament.

The ban was first reported in the British newspaper 'Daily Telegraph'. This report has come at a time when the tension between the governments of both countries has increased.

Before China's decision to ban British lawmakers in March, Britain imposed sanctions against some Chinese officials in Xinjiang over complaints of human rights violations.

But despite all this, the China Parliamentary Group of the British Parliament had decided to invite the Chinese MP to the Summer Party. The party was to be held at the Terris Pavilion in the House of Commons, which overlooks the River Thames.

Last week, five Conservative Party lawmakers facing Chinese sanctions conveyed their concerns to the speaker. Both the MPs of the House of Lords also wrote to the Speaker of their House about this.

He said, "The restrictions imposed by the Chinese government are not only an attack on the members of the community, but it has also targeted Parliament, all MPs, the Select Committee and parliamentary privileges."

“We should never allow our place of work to be a platform to promote and recognize the restrictions imposed by them. We know this opinion is shared by many other lawmakers as well. They would like if the Chinese ambassador If the program is continued, then their protest should also be heard."

“It is unthinkable that on the one hand the encroachment of the rights of our parliamentarians and on the other hand the chief representative of the Chinese government should have the freedom to visit the West Minister in Britain and use our facilities as a spokesman for their government. "

Welcoming the decision of this unprecedented ban on the Chinese ambassador, British MP Nusrat Ghani told BBC News, "Banning MPs is a direct attack on Parliament and our democracy. We will neither remain silent nor will we be provoked by any government. And our parliament will not become the medium of propaganda of the Communist Party of China."
