Air Canada suspend its services to St Kitts and Nevis due to Omicron
As the COVID-19 cases around the world are soaring, Air Canada announced to suspend services to St Kitts and Nevis.

The last flight from Canada to St Kitts and Nevis is scheduled for January 30, 2022.
The Canadian Air Carrier stated that the travel industry has been again hit by unforeseen circumstances.
"The surge is making matters worse; the Canadian federal government has reintroduced its recommendation against non-essential international travel for Canadians," said Air Canada.
The Air Canada further stated that due to coronavirus cases, it is halting its services to the Caribbean island of St Kitts and Nevis, "As a result, Air Canada/Air Canada Vacations has decided to end service to St. Kitts, with the final northbound flight scheduled for January 30, 2022."Minister of Tourism, Transport and Ports Lindsay F.P. Grant stated that he is hopeful that Air Canada will resume services once the caseload decreases globally.
"Air Canada thanks to our patience and cooperation as it works to cancel flights in the sequence of departure dates," added Grant.
He also expressed gratitude to the country's tourism stakeholders for contributing to the economic recovery of St Kitts and Nevis.
"I'd want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our tourist stakeholders and citizens for your outstanding contributions to our recovery thus far. We are hopeful that our valued partners at Air Canada will resume service as soon as possible," added the Minister of Tourism.
