London is Ernest Hilaire's favourite city
St Lucian Minister of Tourism Ernest Hilaire is in London, the United Kingdom, to participate in the World Travel Market

Discussing his entire World Travel Market Journey, Hilaire said it started with an eventful check-in and onboarding. He said he landed and took an express train.
He said he had undergone several COVID-19 tests before starting the first set of meetings.Hilaire said he returned to the World Travel Market with wonderful memories.
"My first evening ended with a reception for Saint Lucian Nationals at the High Commission. It was a special feeling to return to the place that shaped my life for the last few years. It was a triumphant return. It shows that evil never prevails and righteousness reigns. No need to beat my chest, but I could not help silently bask in the quiet assurance that God is Great. Suffice it to say, Guy Mayers is no longer at the High Commission." wrote Hilaire on Facebook.
Describing further about his visit, he said Tuesday and Wednesday were a continuation of meetings with partners and stakeholders discussing the present situation of the travel market and the prospects for the next few months.
Tourism Minister said from all reports; there is a huge demand for travel occasioned by the lockdowns and higher savings over the last few months.
"Let us hope that we can reap the benefits of this major spike in travel demand. The Tourism Authority hosted a reception for all travel partners to express our thanks and appreciation sm for the support over the last few months."
The Prime Minister of St Lucia Philip J. Pierre was also in the United Kingdom while returning from COP26.
Besides this, Hilaire said while his set of meetings with potential investors in the UK, he realised that they have a tremendous interest in St Lucia.
"This downtime due to COVID-19 is coming to an end and we have to strategically position ourselves for a take-off when life returns to "normal."
