Travel approved craft vendors can now sell their crafts at Port Zante during cruise ship days
St Kitts and Nevis ‘Travel Approved’ Craft Vendors from the Amina Market and the rural areas have the opportunity to sell their craft during cruise ship days on Port Zante.

The “Travel Approved” Certification and Seal Program has provided all tourism-related business operators and service providers with opportunities for training to safely and responsibly rebuild and restart tourism.

The program allows small vendors from across the country to put their stalls at Port Zante, where the major cruise ships port. The effort is to revive the industry and provide employment to these small vendors and artists who are under a massive economic depression. The initiative also promotes the local artists and their works.

All vendors are required to have a certification and must follow all protocols during cruise ship days.

St Kitts and Nevis is slowly opening itself to tourism and first cruise ship recently docked on the ports of the country.

Tourism sector experienced extreme backlashes because of the lockdowns caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Many small business owners, vendors and artists were out of work for many months, making their lives harder to survive.
