PM Harris addresses the nation as St Kitts and Nevis celebrates 37 years of independence
Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Timothy Harris addressed the inhabitants of the twin-island nation as the country celebrates 37 years of independence today.

Prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, Dr Timothy Harris addressed the inhabitants of the twin-island nation as the country celebrates 37 years of independence today.
Prime Minister stated that if we look over to the 37 years, we still have so much to achieve, however, the country has already come a long way in terms of development and safety of the people.
During his address, Dr Harris referred to St Kitts and Nevis as the best-managed island country in the world.
"We have the lowest debt to GDP ratio in the OECS, and we have the highest reserves, and the best system fiscal outcome in the region as our per capita income remains highest in the region," added Dr Timothy Harris.
"Our independence is defined by positive transformations." added the leader.
Prime Minister also listed all the threats that St Kitts and Nevis might face after the reopening of the borders and he asked people for their support as the country prepares to reopen its borders to welcome travellers.
Dr Harris also applauded all the front line workers working tirelessly in the fight against coronavirus.
Besides this, the Prime Minister asserted about the response of the twin-island nation to the coronavirus pandemic and stated that "Our fiscal and economic response to the pandemic has been the largest in the region, it is the most comprehensive stimulus package that offers larger support to all."
Furthermore, Dr Timothy Harris stated that in just two-years St Kitts and Nevis was able to pay off the debt to IMF, and the team unity administration has been working tirelessly to improve the structure of the country in terms of education, health and safety.
The leader added that the streets of St Kitts and Nevis are much safer now then they were before as people are now able to commute easier than before even when it is dark.
