Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit & Melissa Skerrit share "mother's day" greetings

Prime Minister of Dominica Dr Roosevelt Skerrit wished women on "Mothers Day". He shared a social media page, acknowledging the efforts of a mother in the journey of life of children.

He honoured the strength of a mother and their contribution to the families as a country as protectors.

"l extend best wishes to all the mothers of our nation. I celebrate and honour you for your strength and for your contribution to our families and country as our protectors, providers and caregivers. Thank you for your countless sacrifices and unconditional love. On behalf of the Government of Dominica, I wish you a Blessed and Happy Mother's Day. May God Bless You," wrote the Prime Minister.

Melissa Poponne Skerrit, the wife of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit and parliament representative from Roseau Central, also wished for women through her social media. Sharing her experiences, Melissa Skerrit stated that being a mother is a courageous task. She also applauded motherhood.

"Being a mother means being completely and totally overwhelmed (in the best possible way) by love, joy, responsibility, and selflessness. Happy Mother's Day to all the courageous, beautiful and Melissa mothers. Every day is a celebration of your love and care," she wrote.

Melissa Skerrit herself is a mother of two children, a boy and a girl. In her mother's day post, she shared a photo of herself with her daughter, with mothers day greetings written upon them.
